Brad joined the Education for the Future staff in early 1995 to support growing demands to provide evaluation support and questionnaire services for the School Portfolio process.

Brad manages broad contract data services for the office and more specifically directs the daily operations of our questionnaire services unit, placing emphasis on the integrity of data as well as providing the results that are most valuable and useful to schools. Brad works with clients from across the country, directing questionnaire services ranging from single schools to some of the largest districts.

Taking the show on the road, Brad also regularly provides data analysis and other presentation services at national conferences, through workshops and seminars, and facilitates Data Institutes and other hands-on data analysis opportunities across the country.

With Victoria Bernhardt, Brad recently authored From Questions to Actions: Using Questionnaire Data for Continuous School Improvement. From Questions to Actions describes the role of perceptions data in comprehensive data analysis and details the steps in questionnaire construction, administration, analysis, and presentation - from questions to actions.

Brad has also authored several applications that are designed to help facilitate data collection and use throughout school districts. In order to make questionnaire work more accessible to schools, Brad authored School IQ: School Improvement Questionnaire Solutions. Brad also authored The Classroom Assessment Solution, an application used to collect and analyze data for classroom assessments. Most recently, Brad has written an application that scores and analyzes stranded/clustered assessment data.

Brad's professional and practical attitude is one that we have all come to appreciate. He is a valuable source of information if you have questions about database design, about the most efficient way to structure questionnaires, or about the correct way to calculate the statistics used in the standard Education for the Future graphs.

Residing in Chico, Brad and his wife, Beth, an elementary school teacher, have a son Benjamin as well as daughters Ella Jean and Anna. You may see photos of Brad's kids on a few of the data analysis tools that he has developed.
